Balance Patch 1 named five buffed Tarstones: Parasitic Stone, Grudge Stone, Bulwark Stone, Clerik's Stone and Squall Stone. This remains a historical record, not the current full Tarstone state: the later Week 1 Update adds Fragile Tarstones, converts Justicar's and Gloombound Stones, changes Tarcore returns and expands renewable upgrade resources.

Evidence boundary: This is a source review, not a claim that every step was reproduced on every platform or hardware configuration.

- Confirm Balance Patch 1 is installed on your platform.
- Check the five named stones in your own inventory.
- Compare the live description with any older screenshot or guide.
- Re-test the effect in a repeatable encounter before spending scarce upgrade resources.
Named buffs
The official patch post explicitly lists the following changes.
- Parasitic Stone: buffed
- Grudge Stone: buffed
- Bulwark Stone: damage reduction increased significantly
- Clerik's Stone: buffed
- Squall Stone: buffed
Superseded by the Week 1 system changes
Week 1 does not erase the five named buffs, but it changes the surrounding upgrade economy and introduces a new fragile class. Justicar's Stone and Gloombound Stone are converted to Fragile versions, Tarstones return more Tarcores when broken, and eligible saves receive compensatory Tarcores for earlier upgrades.
Why this is not a tier list
A named buff proves direction, not final rank. Actual value depends on the live description, slot competition, weapon or Shell synergy, upgrade investment and later patches. Four entries have no numerical magnitude in the public note.
Related build changes
The same patch also changes weapon damage and tracking, Guard movement, enemy health and the economy. A build that feels stronger may be benefiting from several changes at once rather than one Tarstone alone.
